up back home. I’m the only one who doesn’t really have a hard time
waking up at 6:30 am. I guess I have Associated Foods to thank for that.
I’m the first one dressed and ready to go everyday and my companions
always tease me about that. I was assigned to a trio companionship
with Elder Brereton from Arizona and Elder Santa Maria from Hawaii on
the big island. His family isn’t close to the volcano so they are
okay. They are both going to Perth with me. Two of the sisters are
also coming with us too. The other companionship is Elder Waring and Elder
NcNaughaton. They are both from Vancouver and going to Edmonton, Canada. I was
called to be the district leader and it’s just grabbing everyone’s
mail and conducting meetings. Our district is really fun. We stay up
until 12 every night talking and messing around. The trio is the
funnest because it is three times the jokes. We have to go to class
for three hours at a time and we learn how to teach.
Elder Ronald A. Rasband came and talked to us. He talked about a lot
of cool things but the biggest thing I learned was that our most
important convert will be ourselves. He also talked about how we need
to go forward with faith and not fear. That we will be able to teach
people if we have faith and love them.
I’m having a good time and the food is pretty good but everyone else
says it sucks. I just love cafeteria food 😍
